VOLUNTEER COACHING OPPORTUNITIES

The City of Detroit, Parks and Recreation Division is looking for volunteer coaches to help coach in our various sports leagues throughout the year. 

Our youth athletic leagues range from ages 3-14 and range in length, but typically require 3-6 hours a week of commitment, depending on the league.

Below are some of the sports we currently offer leagues in:

Soccer
Basketball
Flag Football
Coach Pitch/T-ball

To coach, you must have a willingness to provide a fun, safe and encouraging environment for all players. Coaches will be provided pre-season training and will be required to undergo a background check and participate in a mandatory coaches education training.
